ZOE cLUB ACTIVITIES
In Zoe, we believe the children cannot learn all they need to know in classroom alone. This is why we have small group clubs. It is MANDATORY for every student to belong to one club of his or her passion. The school has the following clubs:
DRAMA CLUB:
Members of this clubs are trained in script writing, presentation of short plays, acting dome story books etc.
MUSIC CLUB:
This club trains the students to handle musical instruments, team songs and be exposed to voice training. The club is split into two: The Instrumental Music & the Vocal Music. Keyboard, Violin, Saxophone, Drum Set, Talking Drum, Recorders, Guitar, and other Musical Equipment are available in our music workshop.
LITERARY & DEBATING CLUB:
Members are being trained for speech delivery, debating, discussions / argument on national issues etc. the co-ordinator ensures that each member makes a presentation to the audience. At meetings, members exchange practical discussions.
CHOREOGRAPHY & CULTURAL CLUB:
This club is an avenue to help discover, explore and utilize students’ artistic talents through dance and other cultural presentations. This club is expected to organize an annual Talent Hunt to feature various displays such as Ewi, Calabar, Fulani, Igbo dance and all sorts.
THE FRENCH CLUB:
The members’ communications skills and styles are polished by express themselves in this language by engaging them in activities like debate, playlets, songs and other conversations in French.
JUNIOR ENGINEERS & SCIENTISTS CLUB:
This club is open to all students interested in Science and Technology. The club is to sensitize and generate enthusiasm for scientific exploration, expose members to current trends in Science, Technology, Engineering and design and carry out projects and promote healthy competitions among members through quizzes and exhibitions. In recent time, the club has worked on various technological innovations which were exhibited to the admiration of the parents.
COOKERY CLUB:
The aim is to teach students how to cook. Apart from fun of learning and sampling the dishes, students are introduced to the different ways of preparing a wide variety of meals. They are also taught the principles of effective time, energy and money management in cookery. They should be expected to produce snacks, mince pies, fruit juices, small chops, cakes, fried rice etc.
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB:
It affords students the opportunity to discover and develop their literary writing potentials. Members are encouraged to work independently on any issue of interest or issue chosen for them at their periodic meetings. The teachers in charge edit and critique the works presented. The club has a separate notice board to paste their articles.
ARTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB:
This club fosters and develops creativity and artistic skills among the students. Members come together to learn, share and exchange knowledgeable and craftsmanship in different aspects of art such as drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture, textile. Photographic training is designed to take the members through the process of handling camera and bringing photographs to the stage of finishing and printing.
YOUNG FARMERS AND TREE LOVERS CLUB:
Tree Lovers Club plants and care for the trees and flowers in the school premises. However, as Young Farmers, they also engage on practical agricultural practices.
RED CROSS AND ROAD SAFETY CLUB:
Red Cross members are trained to provide First Aid treatment and rescue operations for injured students. Students in Road Safety Club of the school are trained periodically by officers of FRSC on safety rules and traffic controls. This club supervises Zoe Community Day Outings.
MATHEMATICS CLUB:
This Club promotes students’ interest in Mathematics. This school believes that mathematics is a vital subject and students need to be enthusiastic about learning and knowing it.
ICT CLUB:
This club gives students opportunity to explore several good opportunities and windows in information and communication technology. The Club further teaches Graphic Design, Web Design and Development and all that. The Club shall manage the official website and social media platforms of the school.
